Job Description Summary

Basic Purpose

This position is for an expert in Elevators, Escalators, and other forms of Conveyance Transportation for our clients and provides insightful solutions to meet the clients’ needs. The Senior Consultant is responsible for developing relationships with potential clients, determining the consulting tasks that will best meet the needs of clients, developing work scopes for client buildings and conveyance equipment and managing project cycles from request for proposal to inspection. Maintains expert level industry knowledge through research and writing. Works collaboratively with other Consultants and support services to ensure the best experience for our clients.


The position is to work with other consultants to grow the consulting division and help to expand the ATIS brand to include elevator consulting among its other successful operations.

Primary Responsibilities (100%)

1. Surveying existing equipment or reviewing data collected by others onsite

2. Developing proposals and client relationships

3. Reviewing construction documents and drawings

4. Developing Specifications for Maintenance, Modernization or New Equipment and performing elevator Due Diligence evaluations.

5. Reviewing bids from contractors and building project cashflow documentation.

6. Handling construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, site visits and final inspections

7. Working with junior consultants to finalize reports and other documents

8. Travel to client sites as required.


  • Strong understanding of project management requirements in the elevator industry
  • Formal education, either college degree or technical school certificate, is expected. Exceptions made for specific industry experience.
  • Must be driven to provide an outstanding customer experience.
  • Ability to build a network of current and potential clients
  • Strong technical writing and report development skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion
  • Ability and desire to stay abreast of latest industry developments
  • Have QEI

ATIS is a company that is growing and has a great future. I would recommend working for them if the opportunity is available. I had several different positions with ATIS and enjoyed them all. I started as a scheduler and then became a manager. I had to move to Iowa for my wife career, so the made me a remote CSR employee. I would still be with ATIS, however they had to eliminate the remote positions in the southern region.
