Write weekly blog posts around the subjects of making musicians lives easier and improving the music experience for all. You will be working alongside members of the SongMe team including our SEO/blogging and social media strategists, graphic designer as well as the executive leadership team in the planning, writing and publishing of blogs for SongMe.

What you’ll learn:

How to manage a blogging editorial calendar, how to use writing platforms like Contentfly and AI tools like Jasper to assist in writing blog content, how to write for SEO, and how to operate the backend of a SquareSpace blog.

Workload/expectations: Write 2-3 blog posts per week.

Approximate hours per week: 10-20 hrs.

Responsibilities of a Blogging Intern include:

  • Helping write weekly blog posts around the subject of making musicians lives easier and improving the music experience for all.
  • Build off of existing branded content and brand guidelines to maintain brand cohesion.
  • Use relevant blogging strategies and apply techniques from competitors, market leaders.
  • Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
  • Collaborate with other members of the SongMe team to create the best possible content.
  • Use relevant tools for managing and writing blogs such as Contentfly and Jasper.
  • Overseeing ghost writers
  • Managing a blogging editorial calendar
  • Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords
  • Conduct topic research

Requirements of a Blogging Intern include:

  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
  • Passion for music and helping musicians
  • Energetic attitude
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment, in a team setting and accept critique
  • Manage your time effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to sit and type for extended periods
  • Think outside of the box
  • Have fun! (This is a must)
  • Bring your “A Game”

  • Blogs focused on helping musicians promote themselves and their work
  • Blogs focused on helping musicians improve their live music shows and experience
  • Blogs focused on helping a musician advance their career and make a living as a musician
