We are looking for passionate, energetic, detail-orientated individuals to help students in their journeys to become doctors. Either way, our superior training and comprehensive curriculum will give you the skills you need to lead and support students through their test prep.

As a General Chemistry instructor, you will be expected to:

  • Instruct students in a dynamic and supportive manner, keeping the material engaging and being adaptive to student needs
  • Motivate your students through a results oriented, time-tested Princeton Review curriculum in order to build stronger, more confident learners
  • Model professionalism and accountability in the classroom at all times
  • Create an open, safe, and positive learning environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or pursuing one
  • Confident and engaging discussion leader
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • Availability on nights and/or weekends
  • Applicants must pass a qualifying exam
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and computer in a reliably quiet location
  • Able to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Why you want to teach for The Princeton Review:

  • Paid comprehensive training and lesson preparation
  • Competitive hourly teaching rates
  • Flexible hours, work when you’re available to work
  • Work opportunities for both online and in-person instruction
  • No curriculum development or grading
  • Performance and merit-based raises and bonuses

"Tutor Teacher Trainer feeback "
Former EmployeeTutor
You write your own paycheck based on the classes, tutoring students, and trainings you decide to add to your schedule. I have met some truly incredible people who were not educators by trade who did excellent work with me and others. Office staff and management and materials nearly constant turnover and changes were a challenge. I left for personal medical reasons.

Cons:

"Hard Work Pays Off"
Current EmployeeInside Sales Manager
The Princeton Review has become increasingly agile over the past 5 years that I have worked here. This is a pro if you like your work to be refreshing and like to keep your neurons firing at a high rate. If you like something super consistent doing the exact same thing every day, I can't say this company fits the bill for that. It's a dynamic business that's trying new things every day to push the envelope in the test prep and academic Ed Tech landscape. Great culture, and a mentality of putting in hard work to get results for our students.
Pros:

"It's fine short term gig work"
Former EmployeeTutor
Private tutors are gig workers, and until you make it to premiere tutor it's tough to make a living wage. As a short term gig fresh out of college it was fine until I found a job I really wanted. There's a lot of running around the city to wherever they need you to tutor.
Pros:
Cons:

"Great Company, Great Training, Adequate Support"
Former EmployeeInstructor
I only worked here for a short time but enjoyed it greatly. Training was extremely thorough & as an instructor you have adequate support, and resources to provide the best teaching experience to your students (who tend to be highly motivated given how much they've invested in the class). I wish I could have stayed for longer but was beginning graduate school & had to quit.
