Job description
CourseStorm streamlines access to education by providing powerful class registration, enrollment management, and marketing tools that are simple for learners and educators to use. We’ve already connected over 350,000 students with education – and we’re growing fast. We’re seeking a motivated, curious, and skilled Technical Support Representative to help us build the future of our platform and amplify the impact we can have.

As a member of the Customer Success team, your job will be to provide front-line technical support to our customers who reach us via email and phone. To be an outstanding candidate, you’ll be an active listener with an eye for detail, an excellent troubleshooter, and very comfortable working with a range of internet technologies daily. You’ll be passionate about the opportunity to connect and form relationships with our customers, and help them achieve their program goals using our software. You’ll also be excited about being a part of our rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities

Learn the CourseStorm product inside and out
Provide friendly and timely technical support via email and phone
Maintain and add content to our Help Library
Work collaboratively with the team to resolve customer issues
Document details of customer interactions according to departmental procedures

Requirements

Residence in Maine. This position works from a home office, but travel to points throughout Maine frequently is required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer-facing role
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Experience and comfort with a range of software such as MySQL databases, GSuite, Zoom, and screensharing technology
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
Excited to work at a startup company and make a big impact
A passion for using technology to help people achieve their goals
Demonstrated ability to adapt your communication style to a variety of personalities and technical skill levels
A growth mindset and desire to work collaboratively with teammates
Ability to self-motivate and implement strategies to manage tasks and projects to meet deadlines

Preferred Experience

Experience working with Jira Service Management or other support-tracking systems (Zendesk, Freshdesk, etc.)
Technical writing experience
Formal or informal technical support experience
