This Senior Program Coordinator - Virtual Care will be responsible to:
  • Manage day-to-day provider program activities and daily operations of one or more provider programs. Develop new programs, processes or systems for manager review to address new or revised program goals and objectives as assigned. Review recommendations with manager and develops new procedures for final review.
  • Explore expansion of existing virtual care provider programs to additional specialties, partner sites, or new program opportunities. Lead implementation of programs including clinical and technical workflow development, vendor management, training, and coordination.
  • May contribute to the financial management including making budget recommendations, and monitoring program expenses. Support preparation of new proposals for provider programs.
  • Provide technical advice and problem solving assistance related to program goals and objectives; escalate requests to other resources as needed. Coordinate with vendors for technical workflow optimization.
  • Coordinate evaluation of program effectiveness. Generate periodic reports by tracking program data and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies. Review and analyzes reports, assessing trends or changes. Understand and evaluate industry trends. Develop recommendations for discussion.
  • Participate in discussions and pertaining to program; update manager or director appropriately. Call manager’s attention to trends or changes and may recommend programmatic changes. Develop agreed to recommendations.
  • Coordinate and lead recruitment efforts that may include reviews of applications, interviews and orientation.
  • Compose written communication and promotional literature for program and department. May plan workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
  • Interact and liaise with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies to facilitate meeting the program objectives.
To qualify, you must have:
  • An Associate's degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with prior program coordinator experience or a Bachelor's degree in business or a closely related field required may substitute for 2 years of experience.
  • Communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well developed writing skills.
  • Work requires ability to command respect, conflict resolution skills, organizational skills and ability to think independently

Childrens has some real pros (pension, generous time off, decent healthcare etc) but you plateau very early. Management is basically a country club and they don't tend to go out of their way to keep good employees. They also have tight purse strings.
