Unit Paid Faculty teach additional courses on an as needed basis

University of Virginia's School of Continuing and Professional Studies seeks candidates to develop and teach an undergraduate course focused on critical skills in digital marketing and streaming media . The course will be featured in UVA Edge, an innovative program that helps working adults develop in-demand skills an d take a n important step towards a degree .

The online course is 12-weeks in length and offered in an asynchronous format.

At least 18 graduate credits in a related field is required; a master’s or terminal degree is preferred. Experienced professionals with a passion for digital marketing and/or streaming media are encouraged to apply.

This is a part-time, non-tenure track position and compensation will take the form of wages ( beginning at $4,500 for teaching a 3-credit undergraduate course and additional wages for course development ) . Faculty wage appointments are subject to change and carry no expectation of renewal from year to year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
