Position Summary:

The Clinical Research Intern is responsible for learning the basics of a clinical research trial. The goal of this program is to introduce students to the concepts of, the lifecycle of, and the execution of clinical trials in medicine.

Approximately 10-15 hours per week, on a steady basis for 6-12 months. Work hours flexible- need to complete assigned tasks. Stipend will be provided – paid internship $15-$20 dollars per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works in research and development in a pharmaceutical company, directly with a high performing clinical research team
  • Helps design and develop clinical development program, conduct literature searches, compile data and present reports
  • Provides internal support to clinical team to facilitate site identification/feasibility, site management and study closeout
  • Collects data obtained from research, and assists with coding and analyzing it
  • Creates reports on studies, including notes on protocols, workload, data collection, and more
  • Liaises with laboratories and other study partners regarding research findings
  • Participates as necessary, in cross functional team meetings to assure timely attainment of project milestones
  • Works under the supervision and guidance of an experienced researcher

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of completed college experience in a science field, with concentration in biology/related field

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Deep interest in learning pharmaceutical research and drug development process

Work Conditions:

Fully remote – home based job. Work would typically be computer based, and meetings would be via teleconference, videocalls (Teams, Zoom, Webex etc.).
