We are searching for a Director of Strategic Sales. Blended role of business development and account management; the applicant will be responsible for prospecting, meeting with, closing new business, as well as maintaining a book of business with current clients. The applicant will manage client accounts, develop prospecting strategies, manage the sales process, and accurately forecast potential sales. HAVING AN EXISTING BOOK OF BUSINESS IS PREFERRED.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow Relationship with Single Point 3rd party vendors
  • Provide strategic IT guidance to existing clients
  • Prospect for new accounts to call on and update activity into salesforce
  • Run call/email campaigns and setup calls and onsite meetings to discuss Single Point capabilities
  • Ability to talk about company business objectives with C Level’s and IT Executives
  • Need to be a self-starter and motivated to run your own book of business
  • Ability to forecast sales accurately and maintain pipeline
  • We are a growing, small business so ability to adjust to changes and be nimble is important
  • Willingness to improve technical acumen and participate in ongoing training & development
  • Ability to manage internal resources for technical conversations & meetings
  • Manage the sales process through each stage (first call, onsite meeting, proposal, follow up, and contract/close)
  • Ability to conduct presentations / use PowerPoint
  • Extensive knowledge of RFP process
  • Manage existing client accounts and cross sell for additional needs
  • Learn about client makeup and gain an understanding of culture, product offerings, growth strategies, etc.
  • Coordinate and schedule calls/onsite meetings with active customers and SPG Sales representatives
  • Develop and implement a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and acquire new accounts
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and work agreements
  • Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepare pre and post event analysis
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in related field or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of related sales experience
  • Track record of hitting quota – sales accolades are a plus
  • Large rolodex of prospects preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of industry and products
  • Ability to problem solve, consult, and recommend sales solutions in a complex environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed negotiation, project, and account management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and groups
  • Expertise in growing accounts by cross selling senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outside sales experience needed – customer facing
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals and seniority levels within an organization
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Versatility and willingness to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is needed
  • Acute attention to detail
