Columbia College Online Education is accepting applications for adjunct (part-time) instructors to meet our changing needs. After completing the application process, the candidate's application will be considered active for two years. Qualified applicants will be contacted if an opening in their respective fields becomes available. After two years, candidates may reapply to update their application and restate their interest.
Minimum qualifications to teach undergraduate courses include a master’s degree in Finance with a PhD in Finance preferred. Preferred additional qualification includes experience in economics, finance, statistics and operations research in approaching decision-making in sports management. Current professional experience in sports finance or related area and higher education teaching experience are highly desired. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Columbia College is a terrific community with stellar leadership. As with any employment situation, there are some challenges, but none would make me wary of encouraging anyone I know to accept the position there. My only caution would be that the area surrounding the college is not as safe as I or anyone at the college would like it to be. The college does have an excellent police force that is extremely involved in the community and they are invested in improving the situation.

CC pays the minimum but asks the maximum of you. Management changes frequently and little is done to create awareness about diversity or inclusion for employees as well as students. Most concepts they work off of are outdated as is their definition of compensation. This combination can leave you feeling ostracized and broken down, rarely valued, and questioning why you keep going back there!
