We are seeking an Acquisition Specialist - Journeyman Business and Financial Operations (JBFO) to join our diverse and talented team.

Position Overview:
Acquisition Specialist will provide support and assistance in coordination and oversight of acquisition projects conducting the support described in the Statement of Work. The specialist will have expert knowledge of Federal contracting law and related policies and procedures to plan, lead, review, and audit complex procurement functions. The JBFO Specialist will work on complex procurement and contractual processes or reviews. The specialist will present information, analyses, and recommendations to create bureau/agency guidelines.

Prepare procurement packages and employ knowledge of a wide range of contracting procedures, methods, and contract types including formal advertising, negotiation, fixed-price, cost contracting, and use of special provisions and incentives to plan and carry out contracting assignments related to pre-award and post-award functions, and price/cost analysis
Evaluate bid responsiveness, contractor responsibility and contractor performance
Present factual information; compose memoranda, minutes and reports; and draft contract provisions and supporting documentation
Manage ITAR requests and ITAR report/tracker
Manage requisition logs
Assist client in developing market research reports
Interact regularly with the Director of Information Technology Division’s direct report(s)
Manage calendars and schedule meetings as needed to support Government clients and procurement team activities.
Resolve billing issues and discrepancies between submitted vendor invoices and financial authorities
Demonstrated ability to lead Integrated Project Teams (IPT)
Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data
Ability to read and interpret procurement policy, regulations, and directives
Ability to provide clear technical direction and guidance to all program offices.
Proficient in various information technology resources, including Microsoft 365
Proficiency in searching and obtaining documents from the internet.
Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in either accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, communication, project/program management, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods or organization and management.
6 years of relevant experience in conducting acquisition and acquisition support activities
NCMA or FAC-C certifications preferred
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
U.S. Citizenship required
