Java, AWS consultant
Job description
Infosys is seeking a Java, AWS consultant with Insurance domain exposure . This position’s primary responsibility will be to lead large cloud transformation Programs efforts at different stages from Business Process Design to solution design, development and deployment. The role will require experience in AWS, Python.
Required Qualification:
Required Qualification:
- Candidate can be located Anywhere in US.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience with AWS, Java, Springboot, SQL technologies
Preferred Qualification:
- At least 10 years of overall design, development of Java, SpringBoot, AWS applications.
- Should be able to do the technical design – including customization, integration, converting NFRs in to design and solution etc.
- Good interpersonal communications and analytical ability.
- Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
- This position would require extensive travel as per project needs.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

I used to work in Infosys Ltd, HQ in Bangalore and the work culture was not so good.
Best thing which i can quote is the diverse technical domain available to chose from and if you keep upskilling then you can make a career change in these domains though the process is a bit tricky to do so.
There is a good amount of internal politics and higher management power misuse so keep an eye to not to fall for those.
Pros:
Nice campus and facility, different career domains, job security
Cons:
unpaid works beyond shift hours, internal politics

Depends on the project which you are working on. Decent on-site opportunities but you have to work with them for several years before you can qualify. Very less pay compared to industry standards

Good company but no proper management, Perks and benefits are great but system are obsolete here. Legacy systems are used. Worked on Testing project and manage to produce good result.
