Manifold was created ten years ago by serial entrepreneurs and business operators to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial disruption and large-enterprise innovation. Our founders saw a clear opportunity in connecting enterprise resources, data, and relationships with disruptive new products and business models.
To achieve this, Manifold was structured as a unique combination of three divisions: A consulting firm, a venture capital fund, and an incubation studio.
Manifold is based in Chicago but we allow for both remote and in-person work. Location doesn’t matter - definitely not as nearly as much as your skill set and drive.
About the role
Manifold Interns get to know our firm and our work - usually for a few months, but we're flexible with timing. Interns can engage across our three divisions (venture, studio, consulting) and work on projects which involve different industries and focus areas. Projects can involve strategy analysis as well as hands-on duties such as marketing, sales, and project management. For example, we conducted a market and competitive threat analysis for a client in the retail industry and we designed, launched, and operated an e-commerce platform for a client in the consumer goods industry. Our unique project variety gives Interns an unparalleled opportunity to interact with and develop skills at different levels of a business, large or small.
For our Intern position, we are not looking for any specific profile. We welcome applicants from all academic backgrounds, but business coursework is a plus. Likewise, we welcome recent college graduates without full-time work experience, but value prior internships, extracurricular activities, and experience starting a business, charity, or side project.
Some core attributes we’re looking for are:
- Growth mindset
- Results orientation
- Collaborative nature
What we offer:
- Internship position (variable duration)
- Flexibility to work in-office (Chicago, IL) or remotely
- Competitive base salary plus bonus
- Training & development opportunities
