"Fun"
Former EmployeeSales Manager
It was a fun experience being in sales for the first time. Management was cool so was the pay and benefits. They also of tuition reimbursement. So if you are in school. Great place to be!!!
Pros:
Cons:

"Very surprised to see such a great start from the company and then just recently everything with the company went south. (bad)"
Former EmployeeMA5
I learned that you should beware of larger companies that play a role in which they appear to be on your side. Just as quick as they are for you they can be against you. Being a large entity, they can easily bend the rules in their favor and there is not much you can do as a single employee.
Pros:
Cons:

"Nice people and co-workers. "
Former EmployeeOffice Assistant
I like working for carmax. Do I feel like carmax cares about me? No. But I enjoy my job, the people are so friendly and decent benefits here as well. Not too bad. Some managers are horrible and others are angels.
Pros:
Cons:

"Positive culture and helpful co-workers. Too much is expected of Business Office."
Former EmployeeOffice Assistant
CarMax offers a great culture and training. I enjoyed the people I worked with and management was often helpful. As a Business Office Associate, the stress was too much as we are responsible for titling, sale paperwork preparation, appraisals, and answering phones. With the volume of customers we couldn't keep pace with amount of customers at the window, wholesale customers, and fielding the phone. Titling in itself should have a dedicated department, as many issues take months to resolve. Overall too much is asked.
