Company reviews
"Flexibility but poor pay"
Current EmployeeTutor
It is a good side gig to gain some money, but it is not something one can rely on. The workflow varies from the position you've been hired for as well as the pay. The good thing is that you choose when and for how long you want to work.
Pros:
Cons:

"Easy money during the school year"
Current EmployeeTutor
Good place if you are an independent self-starter. You can make decent money doing chats. It's hard to make money just doing reviews. There needs to be a message board/forum of some sort for tutors to interact with one another.
Pros:
Cons:

"A great remote job during a time when no one was hiring, plan on continuing post-covid"
Current EmployeeTest Preparation Tutor
I started working here as a tutor a little while after the pandemic started. The interview process is very thorough, they asked for transcripts and had internal assessments to check subject proficiency. After I was accepted to be a tutor, it did take two weeks for me to get onto the schedule. However, I was still able to pick up hours via instant sessions by logging on during peak homework hours (5-8 pm) when I wasn't scheduled. The hardest part of the job is being expected to remember everything within your covered subjects at all times. I remedy this by having textbooks and google on standby for quick referencing.
Pros:

"Mostly Positive, But Definite Flaws"
Current EmployeeTutor
I understand some of the frustrations people are talking about with Brainfuse. There have been times when I have been expected to help too many students at once and the pay has some problems. My main complaint is that in the writing lab, you report how long you worked on a paper. That would be fine, except they have set times that you can report that are very short! If you report that you worked more than that, you will lose your writing lab privileges, so I am forced to lie and report less time than I spent on the paper. When I did spend the actual allotted time on the papers, I was hit with client complaints. That being said, I think that the technology works well and clients have been pretty easy going with me. I enjoy helping them and they always seem appreciative. My time with Brainfuse has been mostly positive, but I do not like not being paid for time I am spending on papers.
