The Role

Nucleus Advisor’s Director of Branding and Communications is a critical and strategic leader and central to executing our NA3.0 growth strategy. This leader reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

The successful candidate will support Nucleus in its execution of the NA3.0 business strategy and provide branding, marketing, and communications leadership to Nucleus. The end goal is to ensure Nucleus builds on its current success to become even more widely and more deeply recognized as a top 50 leader in the wealth advisory industry and is recognized as the global preeminent vision caster and wealth advisor for the world’s NexGen creatives.

The successful candidate will be a proven and collaborative leader. This leader will be internally committed to navigating across internal and external stakeholders, adding value through the consistent use of a withness® mindset, collaborating with the Nucleus Founders and the BDG to solve operating and executional challenges that are holding our brand back, and creatively support, shape, and champion Nucleus’ digital branding and marketing processes, platforms and tools.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and drive a multi-channel communications, brand, and marketing strategy
  • Design, build, launch, and produce the NA Withness® Channel Podcast featuring Jordan Waxman and the Nucleus Advisors’ NexGen Leaders
  • Prepare and manage all communications material, including the story board and a continuous flow of press releases and short form videos
  • Develop brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms
  • Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders
  • Lead a team of communication, marketing, and design contractors/vendors, as needed, including managing the website vendor
  • Lead in the creation of digital, video, audio and print content
  • Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions
  • Manage presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Create budget for communications, branding, and marketing and ensure compliance
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies
  • Understanding of copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, HTML coding, and digital graphics production
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing, including integrating SalesForce, HubSpot, and Google Data Studio
  • Experience with search engine marketing, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords
  • Impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities
  • Strong leadership track record
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro)

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline
  • 5 to 10 years of communications, marketing or public relations or related experience
  • Experience managing digital content
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Established media relations a plus
  • Yearly Discretionary Operating Bonus
  • Entitled to earn up to 15 days of paid vacation and 5 personal/sick days per year, accruing monthly and pro-rated for partial years of employment
  • Entitled to 2 Withness® Holidays per year—in addition to vacation and personal days—to take for any reason one chooses so she or he can be with someone on some special day or just to go to the beach or a park and enjoy the day.
