As a part of our Paid - Health Licensing Training Program, you will attend a 40-hour, instructor-led learning session to prepare for passing the state health exam.

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will begin transition to a Licensed Medicare Sales Consultant. Here's what you'll do: As a Sales Representative you will attend a 40-hour, instructor-led learning session to prepare for passing the state health exam. Upon successful completion of state health exam, you will begin transition to a Licensed Sales Consultant. Our Licensed Consultants will work with our clients to identify their unique situation and needs and help choose insurance plans that suit them from 20+ local, regional and national carriers.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Attend all scheduled training
  • Complete required lessons and practice assessments
  • Pass state exam

Core skills/abilities needs:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of score on sales assessment
  • Completion of computer usage/typing assessment
  • Applicable state health licensure and satisfactory criminal history searches. Certain Federal and State laws, as well as insurance carrier requirements may prohibit hiring insurance agents who have ever been convicted of various criminal actions. Problematic criminal history will result in denial of employment or discharge if determined after hire

Helpful, but not required:

  • Call center/sales environment experience
  • Prior sales and Medicare experience
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

I left H P One because my Manager in Arizona would not approve my PTO time for 3 days when the power was out in Texas in February of 2021. I had over 60 hours of PTO with 40 hours from the previous year. He was more concerned about his numbers than my well-being.

We had recruiters that sold us on one thing and when in training told something completely different which managers did not know. There is a ton of information to learn about Medicare and plans and a lot of those things weren't quite learned during first half of training. Our group was unfortunate to have a trainer that got upset with students a lot for asking not a good classroom experience. She picked her favorites and the rest just sucked. You need basic computer knowledge. There is a total of 12 weeks of training, the trainer we had didn't teach us as much as we should have leading into the next weeks of training. The hours change throughout the 12 weeks of training so you need to be able to adjust accordingly. 2nd half of training is where the numbers start. You have to make between 150-300 calls depending on conversation length. You have to make the sales!!!!!!! Dial, probe,dial, dial, leave voicemails and maybe get someone who picks up the phone There seems to be room for growth, but it is a stressful situation because you are mostly calling 65+ people who get phone calls all day from carriers. Very redundant and if the systems don't work right you are penalized for it to an extent.

Training here is horrible. The trainers lie and are never around to help when you need them. Leads are old and called again and again within an hour of being called before. Management replies are very condescending. You're just a number and they care NOTHING about you.

I found them to be kind, understanding and always there to help.. It really is up to you to perform. Everyone is different. I no longer work there but the support is top notch.
