Ready to jump start your career in 2021? We are expanding our sales teams and currently hiring for dynamic Senior Digital Media Sales Representatives. You will be a key member of a growing team focused on the execution of innovative digital advertising campaigns that drive revenue.

As a Senior Digital Media Sales Rep, you will be responsible for selling advertising and digital marketing solutions to companies across the country.

This is an outstanding full-time opportunity for someone interested in a fun, fast-paced, and challenging Sales environment. We will provide you the opportunity to make contributions immediately while developing the skills and knowledge to be successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively prospect, develop, and close leads using a variety of sources.
  • Work directly with businesses to discuss and understand their needs and then develop customized solutions to drive leads to their business.
  • Own entire sales process from prospecting to completion of the sale
  • Ability to utilize technology to engage clients.
  • Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly and monthly sales goals.

  • Strong business development focus, willing to prospect and uncover new potential digital advertisers and drive to develop opportunities from prospect level through to deal close.
  • An understanding and passion for the digital world we live in including social media and digital advertising.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter who can work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Sales experience with hunter mentality and strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to travel and meet with potential customers as needed.
  • Relentless persistence in a competitive marketplace.
  • 3-5+ years sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

From my experience: this is a great down-time opportunity to earn some extra cash. It's not full-time employement quality, though, at least from the freelance writing standpoint. Payout is low, but consistent. Jobs are varied and interesting; however, they entail more than just writing. Searching their supplied database (you are given access to their company-based subscription to a third-party image database) for relevant images is an obligatory part of the process. If you're not comfortable selecting imagery for your writing, or if your perception of ideal imagery doesn't match that of the editors, then you will find yourself re-doing that part, along with any other edits.

"Writers Avoid — Absurd Demands For Little Pay "

The amount of research and work they expect you to put in, relative to what they pay per post, amounts to well below minimum wage. Editors give no real support, in fact they frequently send "resources" that are inaccurate, out of date, or worthless. Or they send, say, a wellness story assignment based on junk science, and if you can't make a workable post out of that, too bad, because you get a number grade for every post you write. But again, the standards are insane compared to what they pay, and there are appears to be no such similar accountability for editors or whoever on the content team sends you junk story ideas.
