    General Educational Development (GED) Teacher (Social Studies/ Reading Language Arts) for a Virtual Class. Class runs Monday/Wednesday morning, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Reports to the Regional Coordinator (GED). Successful Candidate must hold or be eligible for Certification #107, External Diploma Program/Noncredit Mandated Programs.

    This position is part time with no benefits

"Nice and Supportive Staff - Administration could use training on how to treat faculty"

I worked for the Vernon Public School System for 5 years (4 years teaching and 1 as a LTS) as an elementary teacher. The faculty was great. The teachers on my team were very supportive, especially the SPED staff and paras. The administration was supportive at first and then the principal got power hungry. She was more interested in advancing her career than supporting the faculty. The union was a joke. After paying them,from every paycheck they didn't help me at all.

as a paraprofessional, you get put in many places, you have no choice about where you're going (or when, i was sent to a new school in the morning with a student who didn't know me, and it was a school where you needed to do holds on children.You may end up in a special education room, or you end up in a gen Ed room. But if you are put into a room where there is physically aggressive children, there isn't much support. You will get injured. I personally got a concussion and that is why I am leaving leaving
