Job Description:

The Salesforce Business Analyst position will play a pivotal role with the Salesforce end users, supporting various customers and stakeholders within the instance. This organisation have invested heavily within Salesforce and the team are at the forefront of the business driving the overall systems. The Salesforce Business Analyst will be the bridge between the business users and wider tech team, gathering and translating their requirements to develop solutions. Another key aspect of the position will be utilising the overall data skill set, managing large data sets and working on a range of data migration projects. As well as working across various Clouds and Products within Salesforce, helping build out the overall Salesforce org. They will provide support across various projects within Salesforce, leading on the documentation and assisting users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hands on experience with Salesforce (Classic and Lightning)

  • Exposure to a variety of Salesforce products (e.g. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud)

  • Data analytics, management and migration

  • Strong documentation expertise

  • Gathering requirements

  • Agile methodology

  • Build and support Salesforce applications and customisations

  • Configure and develop custom objects / apps using Salesforce.com

  • Work with business users, business analysts and IT project managers to understand business requirements and deliver them

  • Develop and implement high quality software to implement the design within the agreed scope, time and budget constraints of the project, and in accordance with the Insight standards, procedures and guidelines

  • Facilitate the testing and release of software solutions and the handover of systems to support

  • Provide technical guidance to IT colleagues

  • Provide second line support to the user community
  • Analyze user requirements, create user specifications and apply proven application development and agile methodologies in order to accomplish business goals.
  • Works with customers to understand their system requirements. Maps process models, designs technical solutions to satisfy requirements, and completes formal system testing.
  • Works with vendors to be current on product features, and to support the alignment of the CTCA implementation strategy with the product's roadmap. Using this information, he/she educates the CTCA end-users on available functionality.
  • Ensure delivery of business needs in a timely cost-effective manner.
  • Assist in developing project plans, assigning the appropriate technical resources and cost estimations.
  • Regularly communicate complex, technical issues to non-technical business leaders and technical project stakeholders by providing timely generation and distribution of content and project work.
  • Monitors progress of technical issue resolution and negotiate solutions as necessary.
  • Provide 24x7 post-implementation support, respond to problem quickly and provide both short- and long-term resolutions.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

  • 15% | Works with vendors to be current on product features, and to support the alignment of the CTCA implementation strategy with the product's roadmap. Using this information, he/she educates the CTCA end-users on available functionality.

  • 60%
    | Works with customers to understand their system requirements. Maps process models, designs technical solutions to satisfy requirements, and completes formal system testing.
  • 10% | Create and review detailed user specifications required in each phase of the SDLC and comply to internal development standards and guidelines.
  • 10% | Provide 24x7 post-implementation support and provide both short- and long-term resolutions.
  • 5% | Utilize prescribed department change management processes and methodology to report anomalies, errors, inaccuracies or inefficiencies.

Skills, Education and Additional Information

Requirements
  • 4+ Years Experience with Salesforce
  • Certified to Salesforce Administrator (ADM201) and Service Cloud Consultant
  • Experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of IT experience.
  • 3-5 years specific to system administration and/or business analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience in software implementation is required.
  • 1+ year of project management experience preferred.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of appropriate back office workflows, commercially available technology, relational database concepts, and package system implementations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
