Previous Intern Testimonials:

"This internship has been an incredibly invaluable experience. Ying has been a gracious and dedicated mentor to me, for she has taught me so much about the craft of writing children's books, from picture books to graphic novels to middle grade novels. She has also shown me how to navigate the business side--the emails, the book deals, the negotiations, the social media, etc.--of being an author. I have truly learned so much from interning for her that I find it challenging, if not impossible, to sum it all up in a single paragraph. I hope this brief account of my experience will suffice, then, and I could not be more grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Ian (2020)

"For over ten months, Ying's determination in both the business and creative aspects of her career has taught me the value of hard work, organization, and self-sufficiency. Aside from gaining important technical skills in writing and editing, Ying has taught me invaluable lessons in perseverance and patience.

As in life, you only get what you give. This internship has shown me that you are only as talented as the amount of work you put in. Ying's guidance will take you far, but you have to go farther."
