Good for if you need extremely flexible hours. Work whenever you want as long as you meet the minimum. Very easy to catch on to. Not as much work to do over the summer.

"Great For Independent Workers"

There is no management interaction working as a 1099, which I enjoyed. I was able to relatively work wheever was convenient for me as long as the queue was open. The only down fall is they downsize once school is out. Makes sense, but still sucks.

"Easy part-time work, but no real job security"
Current EmployeeContractor
In the beginning, it's incredibly hard to reach the minimum 10 hours required per week. You have to work based on a queue that's constantly opening and closing, and if you wait until the last minute (the weekends), the queue might only be open for about 10 minutes per hour. Once you work there for awhile and they begin to see you are able to process items well enough, you get invited to start accepting shifts. They last 2 hours each, and you're able to get hours in even when the queue is closed, as long as you're able to secure some shifts... Which, they can be really hard to get, especially if you don't grab them IMMEDIATELY. Shifts are usually posted late -- sometimes over an hour -- and it's frustrating having to sit and wait there for them to pop up. All in all, it's not a bad job for some extra money on the side, but you never really know if they're going to renew your contract or end it.

Everyone is remote but I have never felt more part of a team than I do at Gaggle. The purpose is strong here, everyone is passionate about helping students, and you can see that in everything they do. It feels great to work with a company that encourages and celebrates the unique individuals that work for them. Management is filled with personable, compassionate and talented people.
