About this position

This position is remote and you must live in Wisconsin or Minnesota.

Leads and manages the administration of the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) which could be comprised of one or more HR systems including: core HR/Payroll/Benefits system, time and attendance system, performance management system, applicant tracking system and learning management system. This role works in partnership with Human Resource and Information Technology stakeholders. This role is responsible for leading complex system administration, application, and end user support for assigned systems and data integrations with other enterprise systems. Acts as a resource to the organization in developing, configuring, implementing and maintaining HR systems. Evaluating human resource software applications against business requirements along with related reporting and data interface needs in order to meet operational and strategic goals.

What we’ll expect from you

Accountabilities:
  • HR System Administration: Leads and manages systems administration, which includes design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the systems and related processes. Facilitates day-to-day system maintenance and functionality. Manages system integration between internal and external systems. Possesses technical expertise to effectively implement new systems and maintain current systems. Takes initiative to research new technology, both internal and external and applies the new knowledge to current business processes. Liaison with system vendors to build and maintain relationships, by leading conversions with applicable vendors and identify and resolve technical issues in the system when needed. Ensures compliance with HR related legislation and regulations and HR policies escalating complex issues when needed.
  • Project Management: In collaboration with IT, functional project lead for HR technology projects. Leads and manages cross department projects. Analyzes impacts to current HR systems of significant scope requiring full project life-cycle including requirements, design, development, conversion, testing and deployment. All projects are technical in nature and require significant technical knowledge and experience. Regularly coordinates with shared services departments and influences related system projects and or processes.
  • HR Business Analyst: Responsible for aligning system functional processes with business needs. Analyzes the organization business requirements and partners with IT in order to maintain security protocols, data integrity, system settings and functionality. Recommends system programming changes as needed. Identifies, recommends and implements HRMS operational changes to ensure compliance with accrediting, licensing, and governmental agencies. Identifies, recommends and implements operational changes that will improve service, productivity, quality and functional performance to business partners and makes use of HR systems to their full potential.
  • Data and Reporting: Leads and manages internal and external data interfaces. Develops, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools and is a resource to HR, Finance, department managers and others involved in the reporting process, and provides consultative direction, knowledge and functional assistance to end users and other team members for ongoing administration of HR systems and reports.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in human resources system administration, or a related field required

Experience
  • Minimum of eight years relevant HRMS system management experience, of which five years have been spent in implementation and/or maintenance of HRMS programs and payroll functions.

  • Serves as leader for demonstrating effective time management, organizational, and follow up skills with a keen attention to detail and quality
  • Proficient in the use of payroll, time keeping, and human resource information databases and technology
  • Proficient in the use of PC applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of database query and database report writing functions
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human resource and payroll principles, payroll processes, wage and hour law and related accounting principles
  • Demonstrates process analysis skills required to understand and assess multiple interactive pay systems
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at levels appropriate to the target audience
  • Able to interpret technical programming support documentation
  • Must demonstrate proven experience handling confidential Human resources matters
