Job Description
This position will be responsible for working with utility companies directly and clients indirectly. We are hiring for a variety of operational positions which include some of these functions:

Function
  • Resolve account level edits including meter number changes, account number changes, and final bill edits.
  • Research missing bills not received
  • Identify and resolve pre-identified unusual cost and consumption patterns, discrepancies and determine savings opportunities through working edits.
  • Assist in resolution of team issues such as shut-offs, disconnect notices, increase in late fees or service failures
  • Review final bill reporting to ensure accuracy and all pertinent information is included for client review.
  • Complete any necessary payment research to ensure client accounts remain current and services remain on. Includes working with accounting, p-card, EFT, and internal team members
  • Contact vendors to update billing address
  • Communicate with clients for approval to pays.
  • Ensure that follow-up, email, and correspondence are completed in a timely manner
  • Support and maintain team metrics given by supervisor/manager
  • Answer incoming calls from utilities, clients and vendors.
  • Data Entry of on-going, resource and history bills as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Requires two years of clerical and/or customer related work experience
  • Other combinations of experience/education may be considered
  • Must have excellent phone skills and customer service
  • Must have solid computer skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet and several customized ENGIE Impact systems (including but not limited to Avi, Workflow)
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and use time management tools
  • Ability to demonstrate basic mathematical aptitude
  • Must have basic problem solving abilities
  • Must be a team player, dependable and have a sense of ownership
  • Must be able to adapt to change easily
  • Must be flexible with schedule and available for overtime work as needed

To work for ENGIE is to be in an abusive relationship. Prepare to be over-worked, under-prepared, gaslit, undermined, and back-stabbed by management at every turn. This is the most toxic work environment I've ever experienced.

I've worked here for almost 5 years and over that period of time the CEO has changed multiple times. There are constant changes in management. There are so many inefficiencies to the point where it is embarrassing to be offering our services to clients. Pay could be better too. Also turnover is rampant.

While most co-workers, as well as the managers, are great to work with/for, Engie can be an incredibly demoralizing place to work. Pay is sub-par (I've been working there for almost nine years and still make barely more than minimum wage), and they seem disinclined to improve that situation. Promises are made and broken on a regular basis when it comes to dealing with compression, as well as general pay, issues. There is frequent mandatory Saturday overtime in the form of 8-hour shifts as well. It's also very difficult for grievances against problematic co-workers to be settled as well, with no apparent consequences for those who frequently put the bulk of the more difficult work on their co-workers by cherry-picking easier jobs (or even flagrantly disrespecting and aggravating fellow employees) even if such has affected the work of said co-workers.

Engie as an overall employer isn’t bad. Turn over seems to be getting worse and worse and they don’t seem to be doing a good job of compensating for that. Communication through the company is poor and you are expected to complete work that is not part of your job description. Little to no official training is provided making it difficult to understand what is expected of you.
